What makes Slide AI Translator different?
Slide AI Translator is designed for professional delivery. You can translate a PowerPoint deck, keep its layout, and still refine tone, glossary terms, and formatting through a simple chat request. It is a PPT translator that respects your design, not just your words.
Security-first file handling
Slide AI Translator is designed for security-sensitive workflows where document confidentiality matters. Files are processed without being written to third-party storage, external cloud systems, or transmitted via email. Click here to find out more.
Formatting retention
Premium translation restores rich text styling such as bold, italics, underline, colors, highlights, links, and subscript/superscript, so your PPTX stays presentation-ready. It is ideal for professional deliverables where polish and consistency matter.
Chat-first workflow
Upload once and simply say the target language. Add tone, glossary, and audience preferences in chat to guide wording and keep terminology consistent across the document.
Frequently asked questions
What files can the PowerPoint slide AI translator handle?
Slide AI Translator supports PPTX, DOCX, XLSX, and PDF. Basic and Premium both preserve document layout while translating. Premium also restores rich text styling for professional deliverables.
How do I translate a PowerPoint file?
Upload your PPTX, then say the target language in chat. You can simply write "Spanish" or "Korean" and the translation starts.
Can I guide the translation with glossary terms or tone?
Yes. Provide preferred terminology, tone, audience, or currency rules in chat. This keeps translations consistent across slides.
What is Basic vs Premium translation?
Basic preserves layout while translating your document—great for internal circulation and fast review. Premium also restores rich text styling (bold, italics, underline, strikethrough, highlights, font color, links, sub/superscript) and supports post-translation font sizing adjustments for professional deliverables. Basic covers about 90% of a professional translator’s work; Premium covers about 99.99% by restoring styling and polish.
What is WORD Redact?
WORD Redact is a feature that lets you remove sensitive terms before translation. It replaces those terms with placeholders so the AI never receives the original values. It works for DOCX, PPTX, XLSX, and HWPX. PDFs require High mode server processing, so WORD Redact is not available for PDFs.
How do I use WORD Redact?
- Upload a document (DOCX, PPTX, XLSX, or HWPX).
- Switch Security to Ultra High (desktop recommended).
- Click the Redact pill to add sensitive terms (or enable auto-redact emails).
- Start the translation. The output restores placeholders locally after translation.
Does WORD Redact work for PowerPoint, Excel, HWPX, or PDF?
It works for PPTX, XLSX, and HWPX (and DOCX) in Ultra High mode. PDFs require High mode server processing, so WORD Redact is not available for PDFs.
Are my redaction rules saved on your servers?
No. Your redaction list is saved locally in your browser so you can reuse it without retyping. It is not stored as a plaintext redaction table on Slide AI Translator servers.
What does the AI see when I use WORD Redact?
Only placeholders, not your sensitive strings. For example, a name or email can be replaced with {{REDACTED_1}} before the text is sent for translation.
Why is the Redact button disabled sometimes?
Redact is available only in Security Ultra High mode and only when the browser sandbox workflow is active. If you are not in Ultra High mode, the Redact pill will be disabled and will show a tooltip explaining why.
Is PDF translation available?
PDF translation is available on Plus and Pro. The workflow provides both DOCX and PDF outputs.
How do credits work?
Monthly credits refresh every 30 days based on your plan. Purchased credits never expire and are used after monthly credits.
Can I adjust font size after translation?
Yes. For Premium translation, you can request global font sizing changes after delivery.
Is Slide AI Translator secure for professional use?
Yes. Plus and Pro tiers keep files out of training workflows. You can choose High mode (server processing in secure memory) or Ultra High mode (browser processing where the full Office file stays on your computer). For sensitive documents, WORD Redact supports DOCX, PPTX, XLSX, and HWPX so specific names, emails, and identifiers can be replaced locally with placeholders before any text is sent for translation. PDFs require High mode server processing, so WORD Redact is not available for PDFs.
Security: High vs Ultra High
Slide AI Translator offers two security processing modes for documents (PPTX, DOCX, XLSX, HWPX, PDF). The goal is to give you a simple choice: process your file in secure server memory, or keep the full file entirely in your browser.
- High (Server Processing): Your Office file is uploaded over HTTPS and held in the server's RAM while processing runs. It is not saved as a permanent file on the server.
- Ultra High (Browser Processing): The full Office file never leaves your computer. Processing runs in your browser; only extracted text is sent for translation. This mode is available on Plus and Pro plans.
WORD Redact (Ultra High mode)
WORD Redact is available in Ultra High mode for DOCX, PPTX, XLSX, and HWPX. It lets you remove sensitive details before translation.
How it works:
- You choose what to redact (names, emails, internal IDs, or any sensitive phrase).
- The browser replaces those values with placeholders (for example,
{{REDACTED_1}}) before any text is sent out for translation. - The AI receives only the placeholder text, not the original sensitive values.
- After translation, placeholders are restored locally so the final document reads naturally.
Email option: You can also enable auto-redaction of email addresses, which replaces detected emails with placeholders before translation.
Ultra High is ideal for large Office files and highly sensitive workflows, and it works best on desktop/laptop browsers. Mobile browsers often have tighter memory limits, so Slide AI Translator may default to High mode on mobile devices.
PDF note: PDF translation requires High mode because PDF conversion and rendering happens on the server. WORD Redact is not available for PDFs.
Best results checklist
For the most accurate PowerPoint translation, follow this simple flow:
- Upload the PPTX or DOCX file you want to translate.
- State the target language clearly (for example, "Translate to Japanese").
- Add optional guidance such as tone, glossary terms, and currency rules.
- Review the output and request font sizing adjustments if needed.
